Reserve Team Top Goalscorer 1999/2000

Since the start of the 1997/98 season Simon has been a regular at the club. During that time he has played for both first team and reserves in a variety of positions that range from goalkeeper to striker via full back and midfield. 

I think his best game in goal was away at Willingham in December 97. It's fair to say we were under the cosh that day and Simon kept us in the game. Willingham had a decent striker who kept getting through our, less than inspired, defence and going one-on-one with Oxy but coming off second best. On about his sixth go at scoring Oxy had demoralised him so bad he passed backwards and the opportunity was gone.

A couple of seasons ago he at last managed to play up-front enough to earn the Top Goal Scorer trophy for the reserves.
