Whenever the game got ugly and a cool head was needed Spav normally sent for Lee, is this because Lee can be relied on to bring some order back to the game? No! It's because Spav can have a very perverse sense of humour at times. Lees' last game for us before Christmas 2000 was when he came on as a sub at Sawston (having just completed a suspension) and what do you know he must have lasted all of five minutes before he was sent off again.

On a more positive note Lee can at least claim a club record that I doubt will be ever equalled. His first game for the club saw him score a first half hat-trick then be substituted, we had been 2-0 down (Spav tried one of his fancy formations) before being 5-2 up at half-time and going on to win 10-2 away to Fulbourn Hospital.

In 2001/2002 Lee played a lot a full back, not his natural position but he did, at time, put in some solid displays and hopefully learnt something.
