5th September 1992: Hunts Div 1 - Offord (A) Won 5-4

"The best performance of the day came from Great Paxton, promoted to Division One at the end of last season, they trailed for much of the match away to neighbours Offord but recovered magnificently to record a 5-4 victory to give them a perfect start to their season"

A first day local derby with the strong Offord side looked to be a real test for promoted Great Paxton and after Draper and Childerley had scored for Offord their fears were looking realised.

However Gabriel and Meekums scored for the visitors and the battle was joined. Pywowar and Brown added further goals but Man of the Match Gabriel stamped his mark by adding three further goals to take his personal tally to four and earn a memorable victory.
